Antonio González García-Conde, an aeronautical engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, has developed his professional career at the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA).
In the early 1990s, he developed pioneering projects in Spain in hydrogen production through the electrolysis of water with photovoltaic solar energy and in the use of hydrogen in fuel cells.
He is currently president of the Spanish Hydrogen Technology Platform, vice-president of the Spanish Hydrogen Association, which he chaired from its foundation in 2002 to 2011. He has been vice-president of the European Hydrogen Association in the period 2007-2012 and he chaired the International Energy Agency's Hydrogen technology program from 2008 to 2011 and is an evaluator for the European Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) programme.
Author of multiple conferences in courses, seminars and conferences on hydrogen technology and fuel cells, as well as various publications on solar energy, hydrogen technology and fuel cells (including participation with chapters in 7 books).
