Codruta Rusu

Codruta Rusu has been with the Equity Interest and Payments Management Division of the Austrian Central Bank (OeNB) for almost five years, where she gained extensive knowledge in the research of payment behavior. She represents Austria in various ECB working groups related to cash policy. Together with Helmut Stix, a leading researcher in the field of cash demand and payment behavior, published a paper on the results of the most recent payment diary survey in Austria (“Cash and card payments – recent results of the Austrian payment diary survey”). Before that, she worked for five years in the Statistics Department in the field of government finance. In terms of academic background, she holds a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration and is currently working on her PhD in Economics.
