Eugenio Curia

Eugenio Curia works for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Programme on Safeguarding Sport from Corruption and Crime and the Global Operational Network of Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network). The Programme on Safeguarding Sport has supported over 11000 officials from criminal justice authorities, sports organizations and the private sector in over 135 countries to tackle corruption and economic crime in sport, including in the areas of illegal betting, competition manipulation, the transfer of athletes, hosting and organizing major sports events, governance of sports organizations, and enhancing collaboration between sports organizations and criminal justice authorities. Over the last 10 years he has primarily worked in the field of anticorruption and combatting other forms of economic crime in several organizations including the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center (ROLACC). He holds a graduate degree in law from Universidad de Sán Andrés in Buenos Aires, and a master’s in law (LLM) from the University of Vienna.
