Eveline Steinberger-Kern

Born 1972 in Upper Styria, Eveline Steinberger-Kern is serial-entrepreneur. In spring of 2014 she founded The Blue Minds Company GmbH, addressing questions of global energy transformation, developing new business models and investing in startups. Earlier, she had spent 20 years in different leading management positions in the sectors of energy and industry. Among other ventures Eveline led the development of the end-user business for VERBUND as well as all energy affairs for Siemens in CEE. Since 2014 she has founded and developed three of her own companies in the area of digital energy services in Vienna and Tel Aviv. Apart from her own foundings Eveline has been getting involved in other startups both as a shareholder and an advisor in the regions of DACH, CEE, Israel and the US and is supporting the company’s market entries. Among them: has-to-be, Visotech, bgood, WeAreDevelopers grid singularity, Chakratec, Keepers, TenGift or Pexapark. Eveline Steinberger-Kern earned her Ph.D. at Karl-Franzens University in economic science. In Vienna she has co-initiated and -built the innovation hub weXelerate. Having opened in fall of 2017 in Praterstrasse 1, she has been leading its advisory board since summer of 2017 as well as the supervisory committee since the beginning of this year. Additionally she is holding advisory board seats at Unicredit Bank Austria in Vienna and KGAL in Munich. She is a mentor at Manageers, Startup Leitner and Female Founders. Since 2009 Eveline has been married to Christian Kern. The couple has an 11 year old daughter.
