Frans C. van Beers

Employed by the Dutch Payments Association since 2012, which organises the collective, non-competitive activities for the Netherlands’ payment infrastructure. My activities focus on setting up and maintaining the standards, governance and collective services for payments for our members, in a SEPA context. Participate since 2004 in the payment rulebook work blocks of the European Payments Council (EPC). Since 2021 chair of the PSEM, later followed by chairing the VOP Task Force. I was the lead of the product stream for the Instant Payments programme in the Netherlands. Before that I participated in the set-up and execution of the national Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) programme from start to finish when employed as policy advisor payments at ING, focusing on the interbank alignment and governance. Career start was in 1984 in IT operations, followed by payments product development from 1993 onwards, within ING and its predecessors.
