Dr. Joseph Kitzweger
Joseph Kitzweger holds a master degree in Raw Material Engineering of the Montan-University of Leoben and a doctoral degree in Physics of the Technical University of Vienna. After numerous operational positions in various countries at Lafarge Cement, he moved from Paris, where he was in charge of Lafarge's French Cement Operations, back to Vienna, where he took the exiting position of the Director for Sustainable Development at Lafarge Austria, with the focus on realizing the first "zero carbon" cement plant in Mannerdorf/Austria. In this matter, he works in close cooperation with 3 other industrial leaders in their businesses, OMV, Verbund and Borealis, with the targets to transform the captured CO2 from Lafarge Cement Plant Mannersdorf, into renewable based, fossil free products, such as plastics.
Since 2010, Joseph helds a teaching position as a lecturer at the Montan-University of Leoben.
