Maria Quinn RN, M. Sc Cardiovascular Care

Maria Quinn is a Global Concept Developer at Saint-Gobain Ecophon (SE) specialising in sound environments in Healthcare facilities. She is the leader of an international team of concept developers increasing the body of knowledge of acoustics in hospitals and, supporting architects and hospital planners in the design process of new and existing buildings.
Maria has a professional background as a specialist nurse in cardiovascular care. For the last decade, she has been using and combining this experience with creating healthy buildings that support both patient recovery and staff working conditions respectively. A cross-disciplinary approach that involves architects, hospital building owners and facility managers as well as acousticians. Maria and her team follow and contribute to research concerning sound environments in healthcare facilities, ranging from Day care, Specialist care, Psychiatric care and Elderly care.
