Michael Grusch studied Biology at the University of Vienna. After his PhD at the Department of Pathology and a postgraduate education in Toxicology he established a research group at the Institute of Cancer Research of the Medical University of Vienna. In collaboration with national and international partners, e.g. at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, the Tel Aviv University and the Asbestos Disease Research Institute in Australia, the group focuses on growth factors and growth factor receptors as potential therapy targets in solid tumours. In 2014 he became Associate Professor at the Institute of Cancer Research in the Research Unit “Applied and Experimental Oncology”. Michael Grusch is author of 98 original papers in peer-reviewed journals and 9 invited reviews with ~ 1500 citations.
